Peugeot

Peugeot is a major French car brand, part of PSA Peugeot Citroën. It is the second largest automaker in Europe, behind Volkswagen. Peugeot's roots go back to bicycle manufacturing at the end of the 19th century. Its headquarters are in Paris, Avenue de la Grande Armée, close to Porte Maillot and the Concorde Lafayette Hotel.

En un mot, elle est l'aboutissement de l'ensemble des techniques élaborées sur la 203 : carrosserie moderne, mécanique sans histoire et moteur le plus économique de son temps.

Présentée au salon de l'Automobile de 1955, elle reçoit un accueil favorable du public.Une pionnière dans bien des domaines…

C'est le premier véhicule de la marque doté d'un pare-brise galbé.
Pour la première fois, Peugeot fait appel à un designer extérieur et marque ainsi le début de la collaboration avec Pininfarina.

403, c'est aussi la première berline de série au monde proposée en Diesel. Une fois encore, Peugeot fait figure de pionnier pour le millésime 1959.
